SIMÓN (28), a food delivery man, after working late into the night, arrives home to his almost empty apartment. He decorates it with modest decorations to celebrate his birthday, and video calls his MOTHER (56), who sings him a happy birthday song from Venezuela. The call ends before the song is finished. Simón gets up, grabs his work things, reluctantly blows out the candles, and leaves. From the darkness, he goes back outside with his backpack on his shoulder, as another delivery is waiting for him.
