Physical education teacher Sergio Rossetti is transferred to Remis, a small mountain village wherein an unbreakable serenity reigns, and discovers that behind that golden equilibrium lies a disturbing ritual. One night a week, the locals are freed of their pain thanks to 15-year-old introvert Matteo: just hugging him is enough to feel better.
